REMA is a psychological narrative game set over a single night in the subconscious of Karim Mastur, a second-generation Parisian prosecutor of Egyptian descent who, after the death of his mother and a morally questionable lawsuit, cannot bring himself to sleep. The player controls an abstract Thought that traverses the regions of Karim's brain (Amygdala, Hippocampus, Pons, Thalamus, Prefrontal Cortex), each region representing a separate level with its own visual language (2D, 3D, isometry) and mechanics corresponding to the function of that part of the brain. The game ends at six in the morning — not with a solution, but with transparency.

The visual style draws from surrealist and symbolist painting (Magritte, Miró, Ernst, Redon, Bosch) as a personal reinterpretation of these trends in the digital space. The practical output of the master's thesis will be a playable demo consisting of at least two complete levels with a full narrative framework.
