On May 27th and 28th, the Game Access 2022 game developer conference was held in Brno, which was also attended by our Game Design program students.
The program consisted of a rich combination of lectures on production, artistic expression, game and narrative design, as well as technical topics. Among the speakers were the names of the creators of games such as Cyberpunk 2077, What Remains of Edith Finch, Horizon Zero Dawn, as well as popular board games such as Codenames.
At the Brno exhibition center, our students had the opportunity to try out and discuss projects by their fellow indie developers. Among the visitors, they also met students from neighboring fields, such as from Prague's FAMU or Masaryk University.
At Game Access, students "had the opportunity to meet" teachers, some of whom they finally met in person. In addition to them, they also talked to many interesting and inspiring people, with whom they could exchange experiences. It has never been possible to meet so many people with interests similar to the students in one place before. The whole event was a great experience. The HD students took away new knowledge and experiences, but also many valuable contacts that they will definitely use in the future.
