Mgr. art. Martin Engler PhD. studied illustration at VŠVU, under the guidance of prof. Dušan Kállay. During his studies, he worked in various media and disciplines with a primary interest in conceptual game art.
He directed his bachelor's and master's theses to the creation of a vast author's world, while he created the theoretical parts of the works with the aim of enlightenment in the country. He became a co-founder of the Pomimo civic association, which annually publishes a collection of comics and spreads awareness about art. He also became a co-founder and lecturer of the educational projects Level Up, ArtCraft, TechArt Camp within the oz Hemisféra.
As one of the lecturers and art directors, he also worked in the Summer Game Dev project for the last four years. Later, he became a lecturer at the Department of Digital Game Theory at UCM in Trnava, where he actively teaches, brings and develops game graphics and conceptual game art.
He created his dissertation on the topic of Creative imagination in digital games with the aim of revealing the active influence of conceptual art on the pre-production side of game creation. At the same time, he works as a freelancer, devoting himself to traditional and digital art in both 2D and 3D forms and in various media.
He is currently trying to transform the aforementioned author's world into a written and game form.
