Velvet Choices is an interactive story aimed primarily at high school students, set during the period of the Gentle Revolution. This project was created as a response to the problematic teaching of recent history in schools, where young people often lack information about events that have a direct impact on their lives. The creation was motivated by the desire to improve the understanding of contemporary history among young people and to offer an alternative educational channel through digital games that are attractive and accessible to them.

The first episode of Velvet Choices is set in the dynamic period before the Revolution, giving players the opportunity to experience key moments of this historical period from the perspective of young people who lived at that time. The game focuses on the personal stories, emotional dilemmas and moral decisions that its characters must go through. In this way, the game not only educates about historical events, but also encourages players to think about the meaning of freedom, civic engagement and personal responsibility.

The main character, student Lucia, is presented as a curious person who gradually learns to understand and critically evaluate the complex socio-political reality of her time. Players have the opportunity to influence her decisions and shape her path through exploration, interaction with other characters, and problem-solving. This approach allows players to not only identify with the main character and her story, but also supports the development of critical thinking and empathy.

The author of the project strives to make the game serve not only as an educational tool, but also as a means to promote understanding and empathy towards the people and situations that have shaped contemporary society. By choosing digital games as a medium, the project seeks to bridge the gap between traditional educational methods and modern technologies, thereby opening the way to innovative approaches in education.
